WINDOWS VISTA - THE NEW MICROSOFT OS [1]


INTRODUCTION OF WINDOWS VISTA:

Winodws Vista is another name for Windows XP. It is considered to be the next version of Windows XP., with volume licence customers such as Dell, HP-Compaq and Lenovo. Vista was on the stands by the end of January 2007.

Vista is available in eight iterations: - 1) Starter, 2) Home Basic, 3) Home Basic N, 4) Home Premium, 5) Business, 6) Business N, 7) Enterprise and 8) Ultimate. Among all the versions Windows Vista Ultimate is considered to be the Superset of all the others.

PRE-REQUISITES:

Vista is categorized as 'Vista-capable' machines and 'Premium ready' machines.

Vista-capable is configured on - 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM a DirectX 9 class graphics card and 20 GB HDD - which is the lowest recommended configuration.

For a better run of the OS you need a premium-ready machine - 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, a DirectX 9 graphic card with its own 128 MB RAM and 40 GB HDD.
